Kanku Sho

Greet in the musubi-dachiposition.

Announce the kata“Kanku-shô.”

Yoï: In the hachiji-dachiposition, the fists are closed in front of the hips.

1. Hidari chudan morote-uke: Turn your head to the left, shift the left foot to settle in the kokutsu-dachi position, while running a reinforced inside-outside blockage left middle level to the left(morote-uke).

2. Migi chudan morote-uke: Turn your head to the right, shift your right foot to settle in the kokutsu-dachi position, while running a reinforced inside-outside blockage right middle level to the right(morote-uke).

3. Hidari chudan morote-uke: Turn your head to the left, bring the right foot back to the left foot, rotate 90 degrees to the left, then settle into the kokutsu-dachi position, while running a reinforced inside-outside blockage left middle level forward(morote-uke).

4. Migi chudan oï-zuki: Without changing the position of the arms, advance your right foot to find yourself in the zenkutsu-dachi position while carrying an elongated right-right right punch(oï-zuki).

5. Hineri-kaeshi: Still in the zenkutsu-dachi position, bring the right elbow back to the body by swivelling the forearm on itself to twist back until bending the elbow at 90 degrees(hineri-kaeshi).

6. Hidari chudan oï-zuki: Advance your left foot to find yourself in the zenkutsu-dachi position while carrying an elongated left-level frontal punch(oï-zuki).

7. Hineri-kaeshi: Still in the zenkutsu-dachiposition, powerfully bring the left elbow back to the body by swivelling the forearm on itself to perform a back twist(hineri-kaeshi).

8. Migi chudan oï-zuki: Advance your right foot to find yourself in the zenkutsu-dachi position while carrying an elongated right-right right punch(oï-zuki).

9. Soete kake-dori: Turn your head to the left to look behind you, shift the left foot and rotate the pelvis 180 degrees to the left to find yourself in the moto-dachiposition. At the same time, send your right hand open in front of you, slightly to the left, palm to the sky. The left hand, also open, rests, palm down on the right wrist. As soon as the right arm is extended, rotate the hand on itself counterclockwise and pull the right elbow towards the right hip. Simultaneously, grab the right wrist with your left hand for a reinforced crochet grip(soete kake-dori).

10. Tsukami-dori/Migi chudan mae-geri: Bring the right hand back to the right hip by closing the fist for a powerful grip with traction(tsukami-dori)while kicking a frontal kick whipped right middle level(mae-geri).

Kasui-ken – Migi chudan uchi-ude-uke/Hidari gedan-barai: Turn your head to the left, shift the left foot and rotate the pelvis to the left at 180 degrees to settle in the kokutsu-dachi position. At the same time, arm the left fist above the right shoulder and the right fist in front of you, before performing a double medium/low blockage: inside/outside right medium level(uchi-ude-uke)and left descending in front of you(gedan-barai).

15. Hidari gedan-barai: Without altering the position of the lower body, arm the left fist over the right shoulder and lower your right fist in front of you. Step back with your left foot towards your right foot in the renoji-dachi position, while blocking your left descending in front of you(gedan-barai).

16. Soete kake-dori: Move your left foot to the left to find yourself in the moto-dachiposition. At the same time, send your right hand open in front of you, slightly to the left, palm to the sky. 22. Hidari gedan-barai: Without altering the position of the lower body, arm the left fist over the right shoulder and lower your right fist in front of you. Step back with your left foot towards your right foot in the renoji-dachi position, while blocking your left descending in front of you(gedan-barai).

23. Manji-uke (Migi jodan-uchi-ude-uke/Hidari gedan-barai): Turn your head to the left, shift your left foot to the left, arm the left hand with your right ear, left arm extended forward. Pivot 90 degrees to the left to find yourself in the kokutsu-dachi position, and double lock high/low: inside/outside right level high(uchi-ude-uke)and left descending in front of you(gedan-barai).

24. Hidari chudan uchi-ude-uke/Sokumen morote-zuki: Always in the kokutsu-dachiposition, sweep the space in front of you with the left arm by performing an inner-outdoor blockage medium level(uchi-ude-uke). Then, by pushing on the right foot, take a swiped step to the left to find yourself in the kiba-dachi position and carrying a double lateral punch to the left(morote-zuki).

25. Manji-uke (Hidari jodan-uchi-ude-uke/Migi gedan-barai): Turn your head to the right, lower the pelvis to the left leg to find yourself in the kokutsu-dachi position. Simultaneously, perform a double high/low lock: inside/outside left level high(uchi-ude-uke)and going down straight in front of you(gedan-barai).

26. Migi chudan uchi-ude-uke/Sokumen morote-zuki: Still in the kokutsu-dachi position, sweep the space in front of you with your right arm by blocking an inner-outdoor medium level(uchi-ude-uke). Then, by pushing on your right foot, take a swiped step to the right to find yourself in the kiba-dachi position and carrying a double side punch to the right(morote-zuki).
 

27. Morote jo-uke: Turn your head to the left, open your hands, and bring your left foot closer to the right foot without raising the pelvis. Slide your right foot forward to find yourself in the kokutsu-dachi position. Simultaneously, raise the right hand at waist height and the left hand in front of the forehead to execute a 2-handed blockage on jo attack (stick)(jo-uke).

28. Jo-tsukami tsuki-otoshi: Push on the left foot to propel you forward without changing the kokutsu-dachi position. Simultaneously, send the 2 fists down in front of you to make a seizure of the jo(jo-tsukami tsuki-otoshi). The right fist is forward, the fist back up, and the left fist is down, middle level. The inner face of the left wrist rests against the abdomen.

29. Tobi-geri/ Migi chudan shuto-uke: Leaning on the left foot, quickly rotate the pelvis to the left by raising the right knee, while arming the right hand to the left shoulder, left arm extended in front of you. Jump in the air(tobi-geri). Complete your 360-degree pivot by resting your feet on the ground in the kokutsu-dachiposition. Simultaneously, run a blockage of the edge of the right hand middle level(shuto-uke).

30. Koshi-kamae/Hidari yoko-geri keage/Hidari yoko-mawashi uraken-uchi:

(30A) Turn your head to the left, bring the sole of the left foot above the inner face of the right knee in the kata-ashi-dachiposition, and bring both fists back to the right hip(koshi-kamae).
(30B) Run a left whipped side kick(yoko-geri-keage)to the left, along with a circular side shot of the left fist back in the same direction(yoko-mawashi uraken-uchi).

31. Migi mae empi-uchi: Rest your left foot in the direction of the kick in the zenkutsu-dachiposition, with a right frontal elbow against the palm of the open left hand(empi-uchi).

32. Koshi-kamae/Hidari yoko-geri keage/Hidari yoko-mawashi uraken-uchi:

(32A) Turn your head to the right to look in the opposite direction, bring the sole of the right foot over the inner face of the left knee in the kata-ashi-dachiposition, and bring both fists back to the left hip(koshi-kamae).
(32B) Run a right whipped side kick(yoko-geri-keage)to the right, along with a circular side shot of the right fist back in the same direction(yoko-mawashi uraken-uchi).

33. Migi mae empi-uchi: Rest your right foot in the direction of the kick in the zenkutsu-dachiposition, with a left frontal elbow against the palm of the open right hand(empi-uchi).

39. Hidari ushiro jodan haishu-uke: Still in the zenkutsu-dachiposition, turn your head to the left, arm your right hand over your left shoulder and extend your left arm in front of you. While opening it, send the left hand along a wide circular trajectory to the left, bringing the right fist back into hikity. Slightly tilt the bust forward and complete the movement of the left arm to make a blockage of the backhand up to the back(haishu-uke).

40. Jodan tobi-ashi-baraï/ tobi ushiro-geri: Leaning on the left foot, swing the pelvis to the left, bringing the right foot back to the left foot. Pushing on the left foot, send the right foot towards the left hand open for a high level right jump kick(tobi ashi-barai). Immediately after, send the right foot backwards to execute a kick jumped back(ushiro-tobi-geri). Complete your 360-degree rotation to the left, letting yourself fall to the ground with your bust tilted downwards. 41. Morote gedan shuto-uke: While dryly straightening the bust, quickly reverse the position of the feet by reversing your right foot as you move the left foot forward. At the same time, arm your left hand with your right shoulder. Settle in a low kokutsu-dachi position while performing a double lock descending from the edge of the low level hands(morote shuto-uke).

42. Migi chudan shuto-uke: Advance your right foot to find yourself in the kokutsu-dachi position while blocking the edge of the middle right hand(shuto-uke).

43. Hidari chudan uchi-ude-uke: Pass the right leg behind the left leg in a circular trajectory and rotate 270 degrees in the same direction to find yourself in the zenkutsu-dachi position, while running an inner-outside left middle level(uchi-ude-uke).

44. Migi chudan oï-zuki: Advance your right foot in the zenkutsu-dachiposition, while executing an elongated right-level middle-level frontal punch(oï-zuki).

45. Migi chudan uchi-ude-uke: Turn your head to the right, pass the right leg behind your back and rotate 180 degrees to the right to find yourself in thezenkutsu-dachi position in the opposite direction, while running an inner-outside right middle level(uchi-ude-uke).
